Review: The Happy Christmas Hamper

Christmas is coming and if you fancy a bit of British on the special day, then you’re going to love this treat. When the good folks at British Hamper contacted me about reviewing their best selling Happy Christmas Hamper it only seemed right to accept – but even better, you can win a Superior Traditional Hamper of your very own too. Read on for more. Note: This isn’t a paid review. Although I may have already scoffed all of the delicious Cotswold fudge. Oops.

If you love Britain but miss many of our traditions such as Christmas cake and brandy pudding, this gift basket hits the spot perfectly. It’s choc full of British-themed delights that will tickle the taste buds of any discerning Anglophile.

I especially love the beautiful bespoke gift box with the little Big Bens and London buses (and rain!) The basket features fine food from some of Britain’s best artisan and independent producers. The contents include: Chocolate Santas from Cocoa Loco, Luxury Fruit Jellies and delicious, handmade Christmas cake, to stunningly good Cheddar biscuits, Yorkshire crisps and awesome toffee waffles.

So the big question is – how do they taste? WONDERFUL. I’ve tried some gift baskets before that featured British themed goodies, but they didn’t have that authentic taste. Plus this basket manages to squeeze in everything you would need – especially the big size Christmas Pudding. This isn’t a tiny pud that will only stretch to one person!

Beautifully presented with top quality products. But the key to all of this is the ease of shipping to wherever you are in the world. No worries about any additional taxes or fees to pay. For anyone that knows how expensive normally sending a big box of food is across the globe can be, this is what makes this box highly recommend for the price.

For those that love to connect via social media – visit the British Hamper Facebook page, Twitter page or Instagram for more details.

Verdict: Brilliant selection of proper British goodies that will really make your Christmas complete!

Blimey! is your daily dose of British news and features for anglophiles everywhere! This article was carefully written by Tim Holt, a British blogger, photographer and actor based in the USA. Forever torn between two magnificent slices of sod.
