The votes are in: The Scots voted NO to independence from the UK. The “No” side won with 2,001,926 votes over 1,617,989 for “Yes”. But changes will happen in the UK after this, with further devolution for Scotland and the possibility of an English parliament in the future.
Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond called for unity and for the unionist parties to deliver on more powers as promised. Prime Minister David Cameron said the commitments on extra powers would be honoured.
